Just a quick update on our booth results at the 2017 Field & Stream/Outdoor Life Deer & Turkey Expo last weekend (Jan. 27-29).
First, a BIG \\\"Thank You\\\" to Dale Eddington for helping me with, and setting up, our booth. This was my first time to participate in our booth. And it was a great experience.
I would also like to thank the following members who stopped by our booth:
- Danny & Allison Richardson (and family)
- James & Steven Miller (sons of David Miller)
- Dale Eddington\\\'s Son (Brandon) and Grandson (Dale)
- Kevin & Amy Bartlett
The Expo attracted almost 12,000 visitors over the 3-day weekend. Other than when Expo started on Friday afternoon, our booth was always busy with people asking what KALA represents. We handed out over 100 brochures. We could\\\'ve given out more but we ran out. We signed up almost 50 people who are highly interested in learning more about raising deer. We really needed another booth so that 2 other members could have answered questions.
We made a list of the Top 5 most frequently asked questions that we will summarize and address in a follow-up letter/email/call to these prospective deer farmers. We\\\'ll also use this information and put in a pamphlet to hand out to prospective farmers at our next show....which will be in Lexington, KY the last weekend in August.
I\\\'m also going to come up with a one-page sheet that will outline the Start-Up costs, as well as Projected Revenues & Expenses, incurred when starting and maintaining a deer farm.
All of this will be discussed at our next meeting on Saturday, March 4 beginning at Noon Eastern at the farm of Danny & Allison Richardson.
As always, I welcome all questions, comments, suggestions, etc...Feel free to call (606.594.3116) or email (firstname.lastname@example.org
) me at any time.
